  1. My mom always burned the last batch of cookies.
    No one knows why. But she did it wholeheartedly.
    One of my sisters learned to love burnt cookies, because she knew she would always have at least a dozen to herself…with no argument from anyone else.

    1. Smart sister! I’m glad to hear I’m not alone in this — I tend to burn the last tray of cookies, too. In my case I know why. Forgetfulness: the stuff (a lot of) comedy (and burnt food) is made of.
