Seeking Whole-heartedly

“For thus says the Lord: When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future… Continue reading Seeking Whole-heartedly

Sunday Song: How Deep the Father’s Love for Us

In this morning's sermon, my pastor encouraged us that it is natural to believe that God does not love us, but that it is the work of the Holy Spirit's work in the believers' heart that gives assurance of God's love. God is love. We love because He first loved us. God will never stop… Continue reading Sunday Song: How Deep the Father’s Love for Us

Teacher Seeking Approval

Sometimes, in the midst of the hurry, the pressures, and worries of this time in the semester, I forget that those things are not the sum of my life, or even the sum of my present circumstances. They studied something written on the side of the fountain, as if soaking the words into their very bones. "Come to me,… Continue reading Rest for the Weary

A Good Day

So I rest in this: “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). No longer is a good day one in which I wake up well-rested. A good day is one in which I can look back at the end of it and see God’s… Continue reading A Good Day

Resting Place

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 My faith has found a resting place, not in device or creed. I… Continue reading Resting Place
